Our Story
Eureka Foods has a rich and long history, originally founded as Europa Cheese in 1962 by an Italian family, the store stocked a small range of cheeses that were hand crafted on site.
In 1985 Peter Dimas took over operations of Eureka Cheese and grew the business to encompass a wider range of products and cheeses that it is renowned for today, one of Peter’s crowning achievements was introducing the now famous ‘Greek Saganaki’; a shaped triangular shaped cheese to the Australian market.
In 2018 Peter proudly passed the reins of his pride and joy to the enthusiastic, dedicated to the highest standards of customer service and professionalism, Con Paizes. Con strives to ensure Eureka Foods continues to grow from strength, to strength, sourcing only the finest Australian made and international cheeses there is on offer for Melbourne inner suburbs and surrounds.
